Founded in 1973, CCB is one of the premier classical ballet training schools in New England. Connecticut Concert Ballet annually produces two fully staged shows in the greater Hartford area, "The Nutcracker" in December, and "Premiere Performances" in May. "The Nutcracker" in particular is known for elaborate scenery, professional-quality costuming, intricate choreography and riveting dancing. Kurt Luchs calls Connecticut Concert Ballet, "Superbly brilliant...a real community treasure."
